The Catholic sacrament of Baptism is the first and fundamental sacrament of the Catholic Church. It is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word, through which we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God. Baptism is also called the first sacrament because we cannot legitimately receive any other sacraments before baptism./ El sacramento católico del Bautismo es el primer y fundamental sacramento de la Iglesia Católica. Es el sacramento de la regeneración a través del agua en la palabra, a través del cual somos liberados del pecado y renacemos como hijos de Dios.
